Walking The Walk
“An invincible determination can accomplish almost anything and in this lies the great distinction between great men and little men.” – Thomas Fuller
We always hear stories about the famous failures: Elvis Presley couldn’t get a record deal, no one would let Oprah Winfrey on television, Olympic medalists were picked last, and countless actors and actresses were turned down for roles. But what are some of the mishaps you’ve encountered in your life? Maybe rejection from a school, job, or romantic interest. Maybe your family or your friends have turned away and don’t support you and your goals because of a misguided sense of protection. But what I find most common in us all is the fear of rejection by strangers. We are so consumed with how we appear to people who usually take no care or significant interest in our lives. We spend so much time improving our skill set in order to appear that we are someone to admire, rather than actually doing anything to improve our lives from the inside out.
If you want to accomplish something, get started now rather than just talking the talk. Because sooner or later, people will notice that you aren’t walking the walk.
“You are exactly where you want to be in your life, right now.” – Skip Ross
