How healthy our physical body is depends on the food that we consume. We make the choices everyday to eat a well-balanced meal or stop at the drive-thru for a cheeseburger and fries. Similarly, the attitude and expectations we have of ourselves in life depends heavily on the people, environment, and types of entertainment you feed your mind with your eyes and ears.
Over the past few months, I’ve personally made an effort to either minimize or cut out entirely certain televison shows, magazines, and websites that were not healthly contributing to avenues and goals I have chosen to pursue. Cutting down the amount of time I spent watching garbage daytime television and reading celebrity gossip blogs was a little difficult in the beginning. However, I find myself today reading more books, writing my own blog, and choosing educational podcasts or documentary for a television fix.
These sort of things may or may not interest you as well. But that isn’t the point. We all have different distractions that can negatively affect our attitude.
So, what sort of mind food are you feeding yourself?
