Stress

Our bodies can take a beating when it comes to stress. TMJ, hives, hair loss, weight fluctuation, headaches, fatigue, etc… I would know. I’ve experienced all of these myself.

It’s not a good omen that you’re ‘working hard’ when you’re experiencing high levels of stress. Your body is actually telling you to take a break. Even if it’s five minutes of silence. Even better, be gentle with yourself when your busy.

Get enough sleep by turning in at a decent hour. Light some candles around your work space and keep your things tidy. Get some fresh air and sunlight. Take your vitamins and stick to healthy snacks throughout the day in larger quantities to avoid the ravenous lunch hour when a giant cheeseburger is all you want. Get the stuff you don’t want to do out of the way first. If you have a deadline, keep the night before as a night off and finish your project or work beforehand. Spend a little time everyday doing something you enjoy. Share your anxieties with someone you trust to help and support you through them.

As always, unless I cite something, it is all opinion. But taking actions like these in my life and helped tremendously. Stress is not a burden all hard-working people must suffer. Rather, it is obstacle that can be treated and worked through in a positive light.
