“The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder.“
Alfred Hitchcock, (1899 – 1980)
A little humor to add a bit of flair to this post. Because, let’s be honest… endurance isn’t pretty. In fact, it’s usually kind of gross. Blood, sweat, and lots of tears are a few of the main ingredients to endurance.
Endurance, by definition, is ‘enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.’ When the going gets tough, you get going. When you can’t find a way, you create a way. When everyone else has quit, you keep going to the finish line. Mind over matter, as they say.
Where are you struggling to maintain endurance in your life? Maybe it’s the fitness goal. Or a big career move. Maybe it’s as simple as enduring all the tacky Christmas sweater, eggnog-drunk, over-eating parties we’ll all be attending this holiday season. Just remember, you can do it.
Just a little daily dose of encouragement from the fireplace. 🙂
