Remembering Nelson Mandela
“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Today, December 5, 2013, the world lost a great leader. Not only was he a world renowned politician and previous President of South Africa… he was the definition of a revolutionary.
His life is a true adventure; a story worth telling and hearing. Mr. Mandela hasn’t just existed – he lived. His words of wisdom are strewn throughout the world as sources of encouragement and he breathed belief into those he interacted with. He is someone I truly admire.
Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela.
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
– Nelson Mandela
