Keep Moving Forward
When burdened & heavy, the road ahead seems vast and perilous… A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step, and that first step is almost always the hardest to take. But what about the second? The third?
I took the above photo last year while in good ol’ Kansas, USA. And at the time, I was scared. Scared of moving forward and terrified of falling backward. Frozen in place with a whole life ahead of me and experience behind me… But my compass was skewed. I felt like I was living every moment as if it was my last & I was beating myself up internally for not already being where I dreamed I could be…
I was not in my geographic comfort zone… And the peacefulness of that place cleansed my brain of all the rubbish it was spewing. It was there and then I decided to change. To enjoy the moments and have extraordinary expectations of myself and to understand that the destination is important, but so is my journey. My strength comes from Him.
And someday… When I am called Home… I will look back on my life and say, “I’m so glad I did.”
