Slay Your Own Dragons
It has been quite some time since I last blogged an entry in this little online diary of mine. Life has been happening. What were once priorities were pushed aside for new ventures. And what were once things I worked hard to put off, are now at the top of my to-do list.
It’s interesting how quickly change can occur and how quietly is sneaks up on you. I’ve been thinking about change a lot, recently. It isn’t easy but it does open new doors.
Here are some refreshing reminders to recall in the startling face of change:
tackle and conquer.
When push comes to shove, make your own way. Conforming to standards you haven’t set yourself is simply exhausting. Tackle and conquer your demons and slay your own dragons. What do you want to do with your life? I would rather die of passion than boredom. Find your passion and relish in it. Pick your battle and win the war.
no grit, no pearl.
Sometimes it really is darkest before the dawn. When the journey gets challenging, and it feels like things aren’t going the way you hope… know that a pearl was once a grain of sand. Push yourself to reach higher, sprint faster, and soak in more knowledge. Take the good with the bad and transform the bad into something good.
be a wildflower.
A wildflower grows even though it may not have been intentionally planted. A wildflower flourishes among a field of weeds and against all odds… survives. A wildflower blooms even in adversity. Especially in places where they are told they ‘cannot’.
