No Guts, No Glory

With big dreams, comes big goals. And with big goals, comes big changes. And no matter how great the outcome of change is… the process of change often sucks.

Why is change so frustratingly difficult? We know in our heads that we are doing something in order to have, become, or do better. But our nature can battle against progress on the journey to get there. Everything earned comes along with roadblocks or unseen mishaps. Challenges are inevitable.

However, it’s our reaction to challenges that determine our success in overcoming adversity. Are you being proactive?

Are you being proactive?

It’s a question I’ve asked myself. Am I making firm decisions about what I want and where I want to go? Am I making the decision to work towards those end goals, daily? Am I letting fear of the unknown cloud my judgment? Am I waiting for the ‘perfect moment’, only to let thousands of ‘perfect moments’ pass me by?

Am I waiting for the ‘perfect moment’, only to let thousands of ‘perfect moments’ pass me by?

Being afraid of the future, success, or failure, is not uncommon. What is truly uncommon, is when someone decides to face the music and take a leap of faith anyway.

So yes, sometimes I am afraid. But that’s when I remind myself:

no guts, no glory.
